STRATEGI DINAS PEKERJAAN UMUM DAN PENATAAN RUANG KOTA AMBON DALAM PENGELOLAAN AIR LIMBAH DOMESTIK

Thisstudy aimsto find and describe the government'sstrategy for domestic wastewater management in Ambon City Moluccas Province, analyzing the supporting and inhibiting factors and knowing how to overcome the inhibiting factors. The study method used is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach and with inductive data analysis. As for the data collection techniques are through interviews, observation, documentation, and triangulation. Technical analysis used is a SWOT analysis by determining internal strategy factors to identify strengths and weaknesses as well as external strategic factors to identify opportunities and threatsas a basis for setting goals and strategy formulation. The SWOT matrix is used to formulate strategic issues and then do the Litmus Test in order to give priority to the strategy
chosen. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that the strategy of the department of public works and spatial planning in domestic wastewater
management in Ambon city Moluccas Province has not worked well, it can be seen from the low apparatus competence, lack of facilities and infrastructure of operational activities, lack of socialization of domestic wastewater management
regulation and lack of community role in domestic wastewater management.
