STRATEGI DAN DAMPAK PEMBANGUNAN KAWASAN PLBN ENTIKONG DALAM MENINGKATKAN PERDAGANGAN DAN KEAMANAN WILAYAH INDONESIA

The purpose of this study is to determine the impact arising from the development of the
Entikong Cross-border Post area on trade and security in the Indonesian territory and
to find out suitable strategies to be developed in the development of the Entikong Cross�border Post area so that it impacts on trade and security in the Indonesian territory. This
type of research is descriptive qualitative, which focuses on the impact arising from the
development of the Entikong Cross-border Post area on trade and security in Indonesia
and suitable strategies to be applied in the future development of the region. Data is
collected through nonparticipant observation, interviews and documentation. The data
validity checking technique uses triangulation. While the techniques of data analysis
through the steps of data reduction, data exposure, data interpretation and drawing
conclusions. The findings of this study indicate that the development of the Entikong
Cross-border Post Zone has an impact on increasing legal trade and the security
situation, but the impact has not significantly affected the economic improvement and
welfare of the surrounding communities. Physical development in the form of a Trans�National Post Office and a number of other infrastructures is a very appropriate strategy,
but must be followed by the development of human resources and other local wisdom.
