Abstract
Indonesia is holding the World Superbike (WorldSBK) which will take place from 19-21
November 2021 in Mandalika, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). In order for the
event to run without causing anxiety in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, the government has
intensified the Covid-19 vaccination for all people of Central Lombok until before the event starts.
However, public trust in vaccines is still very lacking. This study aims to analyze the efforts of the
Central Lombok regional government in accelerating the rate of Covid-19 vaccination in
preparation for the implementation of the Moto GP at the Pertamina Mandalika International Street
Circuit. So in its efforts, the Central Lombok regional government made an approach to increase
public confidence in vaccination for the good of life in preventing the spread of Covid-19. In
addition, the government has proposed several strict conditions for this event. Teams of race
participants must quarantine for at least 5 days. And at least 70 percent of the total population of
Central Lombok has been vaccinated. The government also gave instructions to the organizers of
the World Superbike to form a special health protocol task force for supervision at the event
location and provide masks for free.
