Abstract
Digitization in human resource management can help companies modernize HR function and give
them a competitive advantage. At the same time, it takes changing work styles and changing HR
needs. The researcher aims to find out how to implement competency-based human resource
management in the digital era. Researchers also explore the benefits and current key risks, and
analysis of their impact on competencies and roles Professional HR. Qualitative research includes
secondary data analysis that describes existing digital skill levels based on the reactions of more
than 7,000 respondents from six EU member states (Germany, Finland, UK, Portugal, Sweden and
Slovakia). The results obtained indicate that the implementation of professionalism HR tends to
be reluctant to adopt technology. The results also confirm the importance of digitization for human
resources and skills demand digital in recent years.
