KESIAPAN TENAGA KERJA DALAM MENGHADAPI MASYARAKAT EKONOMI ASEAN (MEA) DI KOTA SUKABUMI PROVINSI JAWA BARAT

ABSTRACT
Employment is very important in the world for economc field. In the employment readiness, the main problem faced by almost all districts/cities in Indonesia
in facing the MEA is the high unemployment due to the low level of education resulting in low levels of skill from the workforce. It is also faced by Sukabumi City.
The purpose of this research is to know how far the readiness of Local Government of Sukabumi in facing the era of ASEAN economic society and how far the readiness
of the society to the creative economy business competition, to know what efforts taken by the government of Sukabumi in order to guarantee people's right to get
job and ease of business; as well as to know what efforts and obstacles faced by Indonesian entrepreneurs and business community to increase the skills of local
workers and able to compete with similar products from ASEAN countries. This study using a descriptive research with qualitative approach with
data source from interview result and literature review which analyzed based on result of survey, interview and literature. The result shows that Sukabumi
City is considered has a good employment readiness. The readiness of The Local Government of Sukabumi City in facing the era of Society of Economic ASEAN
(MEA) based on the results of this study are The Local Government of Sukabumi City has prepared the community empowerment program in accordance with
the superior products that will be used as icon in facing the MEA such as giving training and courses directly related to MA preparation needs. The readiness of
the community in the competition of the creative economy of the community must follow the formal education that has been obliged by the government
and it is recommended to follow education and training activities held by local government and companies in Sukabumi.
